RL 26 and VV powders

Where you have a larger capacity case ,with a larger caliber is where N565 andN570 may be better than N560 . I have found that N560 is as good as you can get with The 6.5-Prc and about any 6.5 cal with that case fill down too the 6.5x55 .
Do you think a stw case with 170 -175 work or should I jump to the 565 do to more case fill?

I would shoot for at least a 95 percent case fill before pressure
Probably one of the most overlooked powders that burns the coolest and gives good velocity and is easy on throat burners is N165 and is very temp stable , single base powder . I have found more vel with N560 but it isn't without a trade off in barrel life , if that matters each too his own in that.

N165 is close too R23 from my experience.

Any insight on N565 vs RL26? Thanks
I had to switch some loads from 26 to 565. I ended up using more grains of 565, which gave better fill on the 28 nosler. I think 565 is a better match overall. Don't quote me, but I think I was 80.5 of rl26 and 84.0 with n565 under the same bullet. Rl26 leaves dead air in the case, n565 fills up about perfect, just barely touching the bottom of the bullet
