I'm looking to upgrade the stock on my Winchester Model 70 30-06 but I am having a hard time deciding between a laminate stock, carbon fiber stock, or other fiberglass or composite stock. I'll be using this gun for hunting purposes so I need it to hold up in the different weather. Right now the gun is all stock and it kicks like a mule with the black composite stock, which is one of the reasons I'm looking to upgrade it other than improving the accuracy of it.

Any inputs or suggestions for a great stock would be greatly appreciated.

I have a model 70 lightweight in 270. It has the factory laminate and I would suggest that route. Especially for recoil purposes. Boyds featherweight thumbhole or classic.
