I just received a rifle I won off gunbroker, it is a custom 243. Have any of you ever heard of J.E. Montes. The craftsmanship on this gun is unbelievable. I am interested in any info on him. I will post pictures tonite, I am thinking it is an older build, it has a Redfield scope w/double cross hairs at top and single towards bottom, with a yardage scale in lower left of lens. Any and all input would be helpful, Thanks Jimmy

Never heard of him, but if you Google his name, you only get jibber-jabber random junk searches, and something called JE Montes Construction.
So, obviously not much to find out there on the ole' interwebs.
Might wanna contact the previous owner if he was the one who had it built.
