Remington 721 30-06 to 300 win mag

Ive got a 721 in 06 that i would like to make a 300 win mag. My question is would i be money ahead to just drop a ptg bolt in it or send it in for a sako exactor and opening to a mag bolt face.

IMHO - neither.

The Rem 721's in 30/06 are MADE TO and LOVE shooting 180 gr bullets.

Mine goes on every hunting trip with me. Surprisingly, it is usually the one that the game is harvested with, as the other's are purpose built long range long rifles (as in 1K +). With a 4.5-14x40 Leupold with B & C reticle, the 721 is perfect to 600 (have not tested or tried further).

morning, I had 6 721 rem. actions. had sako extractors and the bolt face

opened. the cost was $90. nothing else has to be done except change to

what caliber barrel u desire. very simple and inexpensive upgrade.

change stock to H&S for added accuracy. alumuninum bedded.

I have 7mmwsm single shot, 308, 7mmrum, 6mmAI, a few others on the 721

rem. action. changed all mounting screws to hex head. warne mounts and

rings all steel. very easy to alter actions. one of the strongest made.
