I was messing around in my shop today and realized I had a pair of vise grips with some flat pieces of 1" x 3" metal welded on and got to thinking is there a way to make something similar for the feed lips on the magazines in a Remington 700? It seems like mine always need a little bit of adjustment to work just right. Maybe I just need to bend the follower spring around too.... Thanks

If I only I could reverse engineer that tool :) thanks

I made mine using a piece of 1/4 " flat bar 2" wide 4" long.i also used a portaband to cut the slot.

It is strong enough but thin enough to do the job. Using a gray Marker pin I place marks on the top edge of the lips every 1/2" and then using the vernier caliper, I measure the spacing before I start bending. this way I can tell how much bending/adjusting I need to get the results wanted.
