Remington 700 -- Any years to avoid?

I have a 2000 Rem 700 in 300 RUM. Other than throwing a laminated wood stock on it and having a gunsmith set the factory trigger from 7lbs to 3lbs, its stock. It shoots .5 MOA or so out to 900 yds. It's primarily my back up to a custom 300 RUM build. In preparation for my recent deer hunt, needed to run some fouler's through both before taking a couple shots and casing them up.

I had/have a Rem 700 stainless with laminated stock. It shot half inch groups with many loads and my favorite load with Barnes 180 TTSX , Retumbo, Fed 215M and just Rem. cases it could shoot 3/8 three shot groups. I replaced the barrel with a 28 in. Bartlien and changed everything but action but had it trued. It's a shooter especially with 215 Berger , N570 , Fed 215M and ADG cases but it's no longer my go to or mountain rifle at 13.5 lbs. bare weight !
