Failure to fire, light primer strikes...is the fiting pin and spring only culprit?

Be sure to scrub the inside of the bolt body clean also. Probably just some dirt/crud built up.They are reloads but had been working fine until now. Just started out of the blue. I have always use a sharp edge and dime method. I will remove and check for...crud. Then go from there.
See also; old wives tail.Once you find the remedy, as far as the spring is concerned, make sure to not leave the/any gun cocked as this only weakens the firing pin spring over time.
I will agree to disagree on that as it each person's decision on how to take care of their own firearms. All I can say is that I spent a lot of time with an great old gunsmith that did great work and that was his advice many, many years ago and it makes sense to me.See also; old wives tail.
