One last item needed for my Edge build

Recoil Lug which one?

Does it matter who's as long as it's thick and flat and pinned to the receiver?

Check out the Holland recoil lug. Excellent lug. Also Badger ordnance makes a excellent lug. Either would be a good choice.

Midway has several different lugs from factory specs. to very thick .300.

I like the .200 or .225 (the factory lugs are normally .187) because you don't have to
hog out a lot of the stock to make it fit.

Also I like the tapered sided lug because it releases from the bedding good and clean
without damaging the bedding.

I dont drill and pin any action even if the lug has the hole in it. The pinned lug is used
on Savages because they use the barrel nut and not a barrel wrench to tighten the
barrel to the action. and this keeps the lug in the proper position while tightening.

Most barrel wrenches align the recoil lug while tightening the barrel to the reciever.
