I've been tweaking my CA Ridgeline for awhile now. It's a 300wsm. Settled on 61.0g of H4350 under 185 Berger H VLDs seated .002" off lands. With this load I was getting around 3/4" groups with stock rifle and Eric Cortina tuner brake installed. I went through Eric's setup routine but could never get any better groups. Although before Eric's brake install I was struggling to get 1" with a variety of bullet/powder combos in this rifle which was extremely frustrating as I'd sent it off to get CA to give it a look over and they sent it back as being "fine and in spec". I had issue with this being a $1800 rifle. But I kept after it as I did like the setup but accuracy was lacking. Last week I obtained a Grayboe Phoenix stock and went ahead and bedded the recoil lug as my standard practice. I went out today and reset the brake to 0 and worked up in "3" position increments. I found a sweet spot on the brake setting that gave me this 5 shot group. A second 5 shot group was nearly as tight. I'm putting her back in the safe til next deer season. Finally a happy camper with this rifle. Just wanted to pass the info on as I'm sure I'm not the only CA owner left scratching their head at times. It's obtainable but shouldn't have to "add" to a rifle at this initial cost IMO.
