How is that AI chamber treating you?

I have one in my DT. Love it. But it's a 22" barrel. Now I have a MRAD I had a spare barrel that I spun up . Just got it yesterday and timed a brake on it last night.

I'll let you guys know. Normal load is Retumbo, but bought a ton of LRT, so I'll burn through that ans then do a Retumbo load.

I have a 338 rum with a 26" lilja barrel. I was getting 2779 fps pushing a 285 eldm using ramshot LRT before switching to the 300 bergers.


Now burning 98.0 grains pushing a 300 grain elite hunter 2729

ok, so here's what I have from this am, using LRT and 300 SMK's
97gr= 2764fps
97.5gr= 2794fps
98gr= 2787
98.5gr= 2803
99gr=2824
99.5gr= 2835
No sticky bolt but that doesn't mean there wasn't pressure issues. Temp was 51 degrees, if you want more environmentals let me know.

I have 8lbd as well. I emailed Ramshot about .338 Norma, they just replied today... they said, "sorry no information on the .338 Norma, thanks for buying our product." Ha ha ha ha I wanted to reply with, maybe there's a reason it's the only available powder these days. Thanks for the help.

It's slower than RL 33 I know that.

Have you shot your 338 norma with lrt yet. I have one on the way and trying to figure out a load for it in my 338 norma

Yes, I have a AI version , but using non fire formed brass I run 95.8 grains with 300 ge. Bullets. AI brass I'm using 96.4-96.7. I'm not running it too hot because it's not super temp stable.

If you're just fire forming, save your money and get a hydro forming die. I've done extensive testing and the pressure and powder charges are about .2-.4 off depending on your loads. That will save on powder , bullets, barrel wear and your shoulder

I just picked up a 338 Norma with 26" 1:9.4 barrel. I'm using 101 grains of LRT and 250 Berger's getting 2950fps which is faster that Berger's data. I only have about 50 rds down the tube and haven't checked for temp stability but it's shooting about .3 moa at 100. Hope this helps
