RAMSHOT LRT POWDER

250 grain Lapua Scrnar
How full was that case? Most or better use would need 270gr bullet or heavier? I state that as using QL info only. I've checked Western Powder data, but don't remember what all weights were listed for LRT? I tried doing QL info using Lapua 250fmj's, but fir decent velocity it needed an exteme amount powder for it. What was velocity and barrel length you are using?

The only one I have tried in mine is Hornady's 300 A Tip.,my other 338 I had used 285 Hornady in my last Lapua but was not happy with the rifle .Later I found out was not the rifle but needed som TLC and adjusting,I figured that when you spend $2500.00 you should not have to play Doctor, I was wrong.............. Pete
I have some 285 A-tips and some 300 Nosler CC. Just waiting to cool down.have H1000 and some Retumbo
I have some lighter bullets I am saving for 338WM

I have only 1 33cal or 338cal for some. 338lm is the only 1 and have H 230edl-x, H 270edl-x, L 250loc-base, Sierra 300smk, Nosler 300ccBerger 300hyb-tac, Barnes 285tac-x and mead 250 and 300fmj's. Now I only wish it wasn't a 24" barrel and was a 30-34" for those 300gr. Can't wait to shoot some piggies with those!

My 24" Precision really like 101.5LRT.215 mag. with a 300 Hornady A Tip and lapua brass,I finally settled on anealing the necks every 3 shot on a case, works great.Velocity has ran right at 2805 to 2815 for highs and lows.

I love 24-26" Barrels had the 30" and it was a beast to carry if you were out in the fields, and it made you walk lopsisded. I read 2 articles abot lon and short of the 338 Lapua, there was not one that said they reall gained the worth of 6more inches. A lot of guys swear by them but a shrter stiffer barrel is far superior unless of course your using a 50 BMG, can't around here as most places you can't hunt or shoot. Pete

MIne is a Mark V, 26 inch. I have Lapua and PPU brass, and all four major brands for LRM primers. Just not going to go shoot in 105-110 degree weather.

Has anyone had a chance to try this yet? It seems to be a high energy, high density powder that may have some good possibilities for the Sherman and other cases. I wonder how the temp stability is?....rich
Love it .4s at 300 yds @3125 with the 180 gr berger I'm my 7/300prc trued it because I could not get Retumbo at the time 26 in bartlin barrel

After trying to shoot my 110 Precision when it was real feel 100 + I gave up and will not shoot it after it reaches 85, not worth damage to your barrel and the braggung rights. Your barrel will not cool down and all you are doing is causing throat erosion. Pete
