I currently use a 30-06 Ack chambered on a Rem 700, 26" 1-10" twist SS barrel and the load I use is Lapua brass, 61.0grs of RL-22 under a 190 SMK, Fed 210M primer for an average velocity of 2910 fps. I have used this load for over 200+ (includes fire formed) rounds thus far, so I know it's safe and accurate, my buddy even took an antelope at 570 yds. 2 years ago w/ my rifle and equipment. My question is, is there another powder that would get me to this velocity w/o showing much pressure? or stay where I currently am? or not to worry about it. I ask because the information can be easily punched in and very quickly find out if there is another load combination w/o the cost involved w/ changing components?
