Quickload help 6.5wsm

Seeing if anyone has time to run a quick load for me on my custom I got yesterday to maybe save some time with finding a load. Not sure how complex it can get with recommended seating depth or powder charge. I am using:
24" bench mark barrel 1:8
140 Berger hybrid target
VVN 570 powder
Coal to lands is 3.083
6.5 wsm using Norma .270 brass

You should not ask for Quickload solutions, but instead buy the software.
There are load's posted here http://reloadersnest.com/frontpage.asp?CaliberID=306 and other free sources (like forums).

I would be very, very, very leery of second hand Quickload data over the internet. I'm not insinuating that anyone here would purposefully steer you or anyone else wrong. However, a miss-entered value could be disastrous.
You could email Berger directly and I'm sure they would be happy to help you get started out on the right foot with your 6.5WSM.

Your right. One thing that i have noticed about QL data is that the burn rates are usually way off. I seem to always have higher velocity with lower powder than QL predicts....

Rhovee,,,,If you do a search on this forum I think you will find the info you want. I seem to recall forum member 65WSM had some data relating to 140gr bullets and vv570 as well as maybe reloader 26.

OP, if you need any additional help shoot me a PM. While I haven't used a 140, I have good experience with N570 behind a 130 before I switched to N570 behind the 160 Matrix out of my 28" 6.5WSM. I should be able to get you headed in the right direction pretty quickly.

I just couldn't get N570 to shoot anything close to being good. Loaded 64-64.5-65 of H1000 last night and was very good accuracy. 65 was the best with an es of 8 and bullets were touching. Going to go back to 65 and go .3 up tell I hit 66.2 and that should get me where I want to be. 65 was right at 3100fps using federal 210m primers. 15 off with 70 rounds down a new barrel I am going to scrub it real good and the barrel should be broke in which will add some velocity.

You are not breaking any copywrite laws asking for Quickload data, the output data belongs to the person inputing the information. Just like typing a letter in Microsoft Office, your letter does not belong to Microsoft.

The problem is case capacity and other factors will effect the results. On top of this you need a chronograph and then adjust the burn rate in Quickload until the velocities match.

Bottom line, Quickload must be "tuned and adjusted" to give semi-accurate computer generated guesstimates. There are just too many variations in firearms and reloading components for Quickload to be spot on with every output from it.

This is true. However, remember when feed good data QL can be as dead on as a .01 group. At least one bullet maker has provided loads to a customer that appear to be strait out of Quickload.

The reason to admonish people who want Quickload solutions to purchase it is to support a good product that we can all benefit from. Y'all already know how software economics works. The QuickLoad author isn't getting rich on this product.

On the flip side of this NECO the distributor of Quickload in the U.S. went around to all the forums saying answering Quickload questions in forums was breaking copyright laws.

This turned off many reloaders with NECO's lies and Quickload software in general. I have Quickload and it gives good ballpark information "BUT" it is no substitution for time at the range. And most important of all if you do not have a chronograph you are wasting your money buying Quickload.

And jfseaman if a bullet manufacture can't afford proper chamber pressure measuring equipment I wouldn't buy their bullets. And I find it hard to believe that any bullet manufacture would use Quickload for chamber pressure guesstimates for loading data for the people who buy their bullets.
