Question about 7.62 M80

I have some 7.62 rounds that say OFV 97 M80. Can anyone tell me if these are safe to shoot in a bolt action 308?

Probably safe to shoot in a bolt gun, but why would you want to? OFV is REALLY crappy ammo made in India that has a reputation for blowing up/damaging semi-auto military type rifles chambered for 7.62 NATO. You should be OK shooting it in a bolt gun in terms of safety, but I don't think it will do much else besides go bang.

Thanks benchracer, I had heard that it was pretty bad but was just wondering about shooting out of bolt rifle. I've had it for years but wouldn't shoot it in my M1a so instead of pulling bullets I think I'll punch holes in paper with the bolt gun.
