There was some available just before I posted this notice. They must have sold out first thing on LR.
I hadn't done any reloading for 5.56 rounds ever. I have the equipment to do so, but have generally purchase factory ammo. With all the problems with getting ammo or componments got me to thinking. "I know that won't get me to far" anyway. I got to reading more on primers and the semi-auto loading rifles. The slam from the action can set off a round without having the primers built for those type of actions. I see that CCI 41 are built for that type of action.
Any imput on this. At 76 you would think I would know better
. So it looks like I need to get a different primer for semi-autoloaders.

I've shot a lot of rounds in an AR with CCI primers and never had a Slam Fire. Not saying it can't happen,just has never happened to me.
CCI No 41 are harden primers and for autoloaders from my understanding. It's the other primers that possible go off with the action slaming forward. The CCI 41 seem to be harder primers. I generally use Fed-210s. The only firearm I have is an AR-15 that uses SRP. I don't use it, it's just locked up in safe. I can reload for it and have all the equipment to do so. Dillion 1050 press that if I called out the number correctly.
Any way I'll post the item that was put out by MDT on primers. That made me aware of possible problems.
I use a AR-15 and a CAR-15 in Vietnam a lot in 1969. Personally I really don't have any great need to shoot the rifearms. It's for a rainy day need.
So I am looking into getting some primers just for that type of firearm.
Winchester also makes a #41 primer as does Federal. Federal has its GM205MAR match grade ar primer. I'm just saying that I've never had a problem running std SR primers. I'm not saying it can't happen.
I have seen primer strikes on ejected rounds,but never hard enough to concern me. I also plan to use the Federal primers on my next build, but it will have a little more recoil than a 5.56 does.

Not a huge issue with AR platforms. Slam fires occur more in the M1 and M14 platforms. Midway has Fed-2010M primers presently. Just how long I don't know. But, bend over. they are $176.00 PER 1000. Only been after them of over a year. I paid the prices.
Now only Win LRP matched too go. That will round me out, plus a sore bu**.
