I am looking into purchasing a power case prep station. I would really appreciate your thoughts on different brands/models that you have used. What you liked and didn't like.

ii have the lyman brass smith that's works well when you get the hang of it. about $110-150 w/ 7 (iirc) bushings that cover many cartridges with same body and shoulder angles. father's day present about 2 years ago

i prefer the lyman over rcbs, redding and hornady..........haven't used any frankford arsenal or other brands even the high dollar ones, so no comment about those. the lyman cuts square as long as you do your part. wow i guess it's gone up in price

I like the lyman prep center. Been working great for years now.
So far I have narrowed it to either the Lyman prep center or the Frankford Arsenal Platinum.

Does that need to be mounted to your bench? I am running out of room on both of mine but need to do something for .223 Rem - I shoot hundreds per week in the summer at PDs.

I have the FA Platinum. It does exactly what it says it does. Over time I realized that the "human factor", the inconsistencies introduced by me started bothering me. Things like how much pressure I was applying during trimming, duration and pressure during debur and chamfer, etc…I eventually did upgrade to the Henderson trimmer. All that said, the FA worked exactly as designed. No complaints on the machine.
