One piece pic has me puzzled.

I'm kinda scratching my head. I have a one pice pic rail for my Remington 700 sa. I went to put it on and only 3 screw holes line up. I looked at the package and it says it's for a short action. Am I missing something or do you only use three of the holes. There's four holes in the base I have a long action but I don't want to pull the scope off to see if it fits. ????????

It uses all four. Sounds like they may have the hole alignment off. There is possibility that hikes are wrong in receiver but more likely the rails. How bad are they off

Like it should be for a long action. When I hold it up next to my la rifle it looks like it would fit.

Spacing length is different for long and short actions. I have gotten rails that were drilled wrong before
