So before Lazer rangefinders, if you were at the corner of a 40 acre square plot, you had a range of 440 yards E-W or N-S of the cleared field. Using the thick to thin cross hairs of your duplex scope for a swag on a white tail deer, how could you determine the range to your target in a 160 acre field? Hint, it's usually ten moa from thick to thick strada.
