Okay, confusing as heck, I know. But basically heres the scenario....:

I am loading 300BLK ammo, using SR 4759 IMR powder behind 190gr bullets. I know that SR 4759 is a reduced load powder, and due to the size of the projectile and size of the powder kernels, my charge of 14.0 gr is compressed. Will this cause any problems? I understand that it will be 50/50 whether the gas system works properly, but that's another issue for another day.

I have never compressed a reduce load powder and just want to see what will happen I suppose. I compress powder all the time in my 338 federal, so no stranger to the process and the hazards that come with it.

That being said, I am leaning towards this being a nonissue. I have not found any load data online (forum searches or from IMR/Hodgdons official data center) which makes me believe this would normally be an issue, but the burn rate chart puts this extremely close to IMR 4227, and Alliants chart puts it on line with Lil Gun.

So I don't know, hence why I'm coming to the experts here. I feel very proficient in my reloading abilities, but have never run across this kind of issue. Usually wouldn't be hard to find the powder I want, but hey, everyone's dealing with this kind of pressure.

Thanks in advance.
