Starting to fall together with most parts secured from sponsors on this forum. Defiance action (first for me) forgot vendor
Kreiger barrel supplied and cut by Total Precision Rifleworks
Hawkins brake (Red Hawk Rifles) blended and timed by TPR.
Mesa stock (J/A Outdoors)
Hawkins M5 Hunter and mag (J/A outdoors)
Elftman Tactical trigger
Steiner Predator glass (Euro Optics)
Lapua&Peterson brass (Euro Optics& Optics Planet)
I'm betting it's going to be a shooter!!
A special thanks to all the vendors and members sharing known inventories of available parts!! Thanks Mr Len for the forum. I've forgotten more in the few years I've been a member than I've learned in 34 years of reloading!!!
Also have a used 22-250 ai Kelbly barrel I purchased here recut to 22 creedmoor fit to the same action.

Oops I forgot now don't laugh, chambered in the grande ole .308 win!

Well the 308 is definitely a shooter. Seems to prefer Varget and IMR 4064 so far but haven't tried any thing else but H380. 2-3 shot groups posted with finished rifle. Shooting 150 grain Sierra match kings. Trigger is breaking at 2.5-3.5 ounces definitely going to increase it to 8 ounces or so. The caliper group was 43 grains of Varget. I knew I pulled the shot with the 2 hole group but still under 1/2". Thanks again to Baron, Total Precision Rifleworks!

Very nice rifle. I have great results shooting 130 Barnes TTSX out of my 18" 308. Using AA2460 which is plentiful and is pushing around 3100 FPS. Good out to about 550-600 yards on game. Shoots great groups. Here's a 5 shot group.

Still a great choice. She's been a shooter since 1952......almost as long as me. Fantastic for learning to shoot the wind, which separates the shooters from the trigger yankers. And, 18"....nice stiff, consistent, humpable format. :) :)

Sweet rig! 4064 and Varget are my most accurate powders as well, but there are so many that will work in a 308. I've probably tried 7 or 8. E
You will love the Mesa Stock. Very underrated

I'm still smiling away, had a few minutes to sit some 168 VLD's on top of 45 Varget. Here's 2 3shot groups off cold clean barrel!
