since the new meat is arriving and the freezer needs room, here is what i did. please add subtract or make any changes ( good one for the kids to help)
chop up 2-3 lbs of ccoked, left over game birds, deer , anything will work
in a pan.melt 1 stick of butter
add chopped onions, mushrooms,broccoli, peas,carrots
saute and reduce to soft
add in meat and liberally season with garlic ,salt, pepper or whatever suites you
you should have a decent amount of liquid, if not add some broth or soup or beer
reduce until the pan looks like a stew. sprinkle in a handful of flour, thickening the stew
in a big casserole dish roll out a pre made pizza dough or even ready bisquits from the store to cover the bottom of a sprayed pan
carefully spoon in the filling
dice a pound or so of good cheese and sprinkle
cover with another layer of dough and pierce until it looks good
throw it in a 350 degree oven for 35 minutes or so until golden
serve with a good salad and eat till youre happy
