New gun need starting point

Just bought a used Remington 700, .223 with 1:12 twist barrel. Need a powder and bullet start point. Gun will be used For steel and the odd groundhog.

I'm using 25.9 gr H335 behind 50gr Nosler Spitzer with a CBOL 1.914 (keep in mind that no two rifles are identical - start low, move slow)

H335 for powder 50 to 55 gr Nosler Ballistic tip or Hornady VMax. With the 12 twist I would not mess with anything over 55 grs.
