Need a starting point - 7mm Rem Mag

I'm not looking for detailed load data, I'm just looking for good bullet/powder combinations that you all have shot <.5 moa. I am shooting a Shilen #3 Profile, 1:9 Twist, 24" plus a Vais Brake. Also, I've never worked up a load for this caliber, so any thing specific to the 7mm would help too. Thanks in advance!

I'm using H-1000 with Berger 180 hybrids in my Hart #4 1:9 26" and getting 2953fps. I did a ladder from 66.0 gr. up to 71.0 gr. and found a couple nodes. 180 VLDs also shot well with Rl22.

I have had very good results with H4831, 160 gr Nosler accubonds with CCI LRM primers.
A black bear at 40 yards and a whitetail at 680 yards and 6 elk at various ranges from 17 to 305 yards fell to this load with very good bullet performance.
The load is shot out of a factory Ruger #1 stainless rifle.
Absolutely no problem with temperature change. You may not get the screaming velocity from H4831 but the accuracy should be very good.
Just as an idea, I load 64.4 grains and get 2950 fps on average.

IMR4831 and RL22 are my go to powders under 160gr Accubonds, 162 Gr SSt's and even had great luck with Sierra GK's

I've shot ragged hole groups at 200 yards with my 28" 1 in 9 using Berger 180 VLDs with 70 grains of Retumbo at 3030 fps or 69 grains of H1000 at 2975 fps in Win brass with a Fed 215M. Both loads are .010 off the lands. My barrel is a Pac Nor 28"

Tip for my belted mags: Once my brass is fireformed, I headspace of the shoulder by bumping the shoulder back .001.

Lot of guys on LR use h-1000 , almost as many use retumbo. i use re-19. start with 168 bergers .030 off and WLRM primers.

Out fox- not sure what you are shooting at. all around bullet 168 berger. for coues 140 berger.
