New 300PRC build

Looked at Iota. Would like to hold one. Held GRS, felt great but I question quality. Held Manners, it was nice. Gunsmith likes Iota

Mine did too. He said he had a lot of customers handled mine in his shop and liked it when they did.

I'm breaking in my 300 PRC barreled and chambered by Carbon Six. It's a 22" 1/8 on a Defiance Anti action with a Triggertech Primary trigger sitting in a Mesa Precision stock with a Wyatt's 300 PRC box and Hawkins M5 bottom metal. I have since added a Vortex Razor LHT 4.5-22 MRAD scope. Weighs in at 8.25 lbs. I will use it for hunting.

They are good actions and at a great price right now. 800.00 I think.

Is this the one? The only other one they have on there website page is a titanium.

1 in 8 if shooting heavy bullets, 1 in 9 if shooting 215 or less according to gunsmith

I've got a 300prc, 20" bartlein 3b, origin action, triggertech special, ag alpine hunter and a mark 5 had. Suppressed. It's a lot of fun but a handful with a suppressor and not a brake. You can spot impacts prone but it's about 50/50. You've really got to apply some good fundamentals. With a good brake it's not an issue. It's a dang hammer though. Very accurate and deadly with 245 bergers.

Will shoot Berger 245s. Do you have 1in8 or 1in9 twist

I put a jewel trigger on a build and love it. It's feels better than the trigger tech and timney I have in other rifles.
