New 26 Nosler Build

Hello, I'm new to the forum I guess cause it's been so long since I've logged in, the site didn't recognize my email address....

I just have a question about a build I'm thinking about doing. I have a 7mm RUM in a Remington 700 stainless. I'd like to change this to a 26 Nosler and put a custom barrel, stock and trigger on it. Good or bad idea? I don't have a 6.5 and really am interested in this with 140 gr. VLDs.

I have a MRC 26 2x rifle, just found my seat depth is extreme at 3.990, I like the round so far, have not been able to work up a load yet that I like, make sure you order with the seat depth you want
