New 1000-yd Heavy Gun World Record--Today at Hawks Ridge - Benchrest Central Forums

Joel Pendegraf just broke the long standing world HG record with a 10 shot 3.048 group.

The post did not list the equipment, but pretty sure it was his 300 Ack Imp shooting 187 Bib FB bullets in a 13 twist barrel. That is what he normally shoots.

That's amazing!! John Voneida set a world record of 3.151" back in 1995 and I imagined it was only a matter of time until someone broke it. I guess John will have to blow the dust off that old rifle and make a come back.

Joel just posted the info, it was a new 12 twist water cooled tube Krieger barrel.

To add to the confusion IBS 600yd HG is 5 shots as is IBS 600yd LG.
