BountyHunter, how do the officials check/know that a factory rifle is truelly right out of the box from the factory meaning no smithing done to it to improve accuracy or are there certain things a shooter is allowed to do to the rifle?

There are no set rules by any sanctioning organziation for "factory" rifles. each club basically is using their own rules.

Generally they allow trigger adjustments, recrowning, bedding, and muzzle brakes. Some say no Coopers, 40x etc or custom shop guns.

Normally specifically not allowed are after market barrels rechambering and truing the actions. Variances to all of the above can be seen though at times.

Tom congratulations and great shooting!

Tom is not a lucky shooter. He teaches long range shooting. I ve watched him shooting and for practice at 1000 painted clay pigeons are setup for practicing shooting. See also Joel Russo's one mile sub 4" shot at the same range that was authenticated by Tom: and its not that easy because you are shooting from hill top to hill top with lots of possibilily of bullet deflection by the wind and up drafts.

If you are near Columbus, stretch your rifles range, including at 2000 yds
