I have been a rifle enthusiast all my life. I grew up in a ranching family and had a rifle of my own since I was 10, and could hunt and shoot almost anytime I liked.

I had a neighbor that was a reloader/ wildcatter and all around "gun nut" even though he was 55 years older than I was we got along just fine. He tought me the finer art of reloading and wildcatting.

At one time I had many wildcats--I'd spend time making cases and crafting loads--I had boxes with different masking tape on them and special dies made-- one day I woke up and said I want to hunt more and load and experiment less.

I got rid of most of my wildcats and told myself "no more!"

Until I started looking at the 25-7PRC. I have always been a 257 wby uber fan. I think the 25-7PRC is going to brake me back into the wildcat game.

Started sourcing my components and hope to have it together mid next year.

I did some lite reading on the 25-7PRC and I'm going to say Go For It.
It looks like a wonderful round that is capable with exception of getting ready for reloading. But hey, that's part of the game, Right?

Recommended Loading Die setup

• Hornady Match Grade 7mm PRC FL Bushing sizer die #046324
• Hornady New Dimension Expander #5, part #396279
• .281″ neck bushing (Redding or Wilson are compatible)
• Forster Bench Rest Ultra Micrometer Seater Die for 257 Wby Mag #U00202, with sleeve reamed for .25-7PRC cartridge
• RCBS 25 WSSM Neck sizing die #12430 (For initial neck down from 7mm to .257 cal)

But there are some subjects I am completely confident in saying "I'll NEVER". We won't discuss those.

Even at my age, I have never thought of abandoning my wildcats and the various other odd and unusual things I perform related to reloading and shooting. It is truly a passion I may never cease until death.
I've owned others, but today, I still own 8 wildcats, and that doesn't include the various cylinder length pistol shot-shell cases I form, sabot loads, etc.

If the 25-7PRC tickles your fancy, then go for it. Life is short, and we take nothing with us.

I have been thinking of a 6.5-7PRC and a 25-6.5PRC, however, I am thinking about what you just started on a 25--7PRC. I will probably purchase a SAC Modular 7PRC bushing die and use it for both. Let us know how it turns out for you, I will not be able to start this until after the first of the year.
