Need scope recommendations

Swarovski Z-5 for a lighter weight consideration for hunting. 2FP

In that price range, and NX8 will serve you well.
Mark 5 would also be a good scope - some folks hate them but every single one I have seen on a rifle has run great.
If you can find a demo Swaro - Zeiss - Kahles etc...you might just luck into a super great piece of glass on the cheap

Looking for a scope to put on Seekins 7mm prc. Big game to 800 yards but mostly long range target shooting. My requirements are tracking, clarity, resolution, low light, illuminated, sfp reticle in that order. Thinking nx8 4-32 , or zeiss LRP, possibly Steiner or trijicon but have heard mixed reports on the steiner. Price range around $2000.

I have 4 of the LRP s5 5-25x56 and love them. I saw an email yesterday that someone had open box sale 2699( way to get around MAP). It was one of the big ones like Europtic, mile high, Natchez just can't remember who. They are FFP scoped

Zeiss S3 LRP for me. A couple of things, though. The LRP is a FFP scope. Also, it's on the heavier end. The weight isn't an issue for me, but that's up to you. The one I have, rides on a 300 RUM. Zeiss is the best for glass, but they do supply a lot of other top scope manufacturers as well.

Of all the scopes I have I like the US Optics FDN 25X best of all! The Nightforce seem to be slipping? A bit over 2K but you won't regret it!
If you must stay around 2000 look at Revic Acura RS25i

I'm older now (78) and since growing old my rifles have gotten lighter! When younger I had no problem carrying a 9 pound rifle up and down mountains but now, not only do I not go up and down mountains any more but I don't want a 9 pound rifler even on flat ground anymore! Now -- I don't want to carry more than a 7 pound rifle fully loaded and scoped and preferably lighter than that! That being said, I was always a Leupold man because their scopes were lighter when every ounce adds up! However, the scope won't do you any good if it isn't robust enough not to have the internals break when you take a fall while hunting -- or even if the scope can't take a bump after sliding to the ground if you don't lean it against a tree just right!
That means my rifles have to get even lighter because the only scopes that pass the drop tests on the Rokslide forum are heavier scopes! That's why I'm going away from Leupold and towards Trijicon! They're a little heavier than Leoupld but pass all the drop tests and are still within my budget!

Lot of good scopes in this day and time. Even some of the chi comm scopes are good now days.

Sightron is a good scope for the money in my simple humble for what it's worth opinion.

So many good scopes out there these days. For a light weight hunting scope I really like the March Compact 2.5x25x52. The NX8 would probably be my second choice. Tract Toric is awesome for the price and I wouldn't hesitate to get one if weight isn't a concern.

have the march and the nx8 give the edge to the march but very close
