FYI the S3 and S5 are very different scopes not just the glass as many believe. The S5 glass is German made Schott and the S3 is made in Japan. The internal mechanisms are different and the S5 is made in Germany in the plant where they make the very expensive Hensboldt scopes. I spent a lot of time on the phone with Zeiss technical support before landing on the S5.Zeiss S3 LRP for me. A couple of things, though. The LRP is a FFP scope. Also, it's on the heavier end. The weight isn't an issue for me, but that's up to you. The one I have, rides on a 300 RUM. Zeiss is the best for glass, but they do supply a lot of other top scope manufacturers as well.
