243 Tikka did not like the load I have used, shot all over the place.
Berger 95gr with H4350, the other load was H4831.
Did someone used this load before? Not happy with it at all.
Can you please help me with some better load info?
Thanks.
Franki

not sure what you are shooting at. I tried the 95 berger out of a rem 700 . it has a faster twist than the tikka. still not that great. the 87 has shot great or of both the rem and sakos I tried it in.

Franki, not knowing the twist, but perhaps try the 87gr Berger. It will stabilize better if you have a slower .243. My son's .243 with a not too fast twist shoots the 87 with H4350 very accurately through a 24" barrel. IMR Enduron 4451 is a good substitute for H4350 since as you read on this forum H4350 is very scarce. Good luck

I have a Tikka T3 in 243 and it shoots the following loads sub moa (03.-.05). All loads are 44.0gr of HV100
Nosler BT 95gr 2.70 OAL 3150fps
Nosler Partition 100gr 2.65 OAL 3100 fps
Hornady Interlock 100gr 2.65 OAL 3100 fps

Strange... I have the same rifle. 3 hand loads (95 - 100 sierra and noslers) and 4 different factory loads ALL shoot under 1". I'll be following this as something is amiss. I sure you've covered this but any issues with the scope? I always replace the factory Tikka rings as well. Never shot bergers in this caliber but they are very sensitive to seating depth in my larger calibers. VLD's typically shoot better for me seated close to the lands. Very good article on here about step by step loading for bergers if you do a search.

Per Berger's site, 95gr VLD optimal twist 1:8, 87gr VLD optimal twist 1:9, 95gr Classic Hunter optimal twist 1:9. Tika T-3 1:10, Remington 700 1:9.125, Savage 9.25, Weatherby Vanguard 1:10 and Winchester 70 1:10.
