About 10 years ago my buddy had this brake installed on his 700 7mm mag. It is an amazing brake in my opinion. The gun kicks like a .243. I've found similar brakes but none for a sporter weight barrel. We have the same guns and I really would like to have this one. He says the gunsmith who he got in from was out of Brownsville, Tx if that helps at all. Thanks

Have him get on ebay and look for the Northwest precision muzzle brake.

Out of the dozen plus I've tried this is my go to brake. Great recoil reduction and excellent reduction of muzzle flip.

I have them mounted now on a pecision prairie dog shooter Rem 700 VSSFII in 220Swift, My 300 WM's 3, my 300 Rums 3 and even my 375Ruger.

It's nice to follow the trace right to the point of impact.

I have the slotted version because I think it does the best job keeping down muzzle flip.

Great product I stumbled on here years ago when another member put me in the right direction.

Muzzle Brake/Compensator Rifle or Pistol | eBay

There work is excellent, treat customers right and act like they genuinely want our business.

That's the way I'd go. Best part, is if you have to shoot it minus hearing protection it's kind to the shooter as the blast and sound are directed away from you slightly on about af3% angle.
