I am working up a load for my new tikka t3 300 wsm i have only been full length sizing but would like to neck size to save brass life. Have heard you cant always neck size 300wsm becasue guns have trouble with the brass thats been expanded to the chamber, with mine i can put fired shells back in with no problems so i shouldnt have problems should i?

97, some neck size only, some FL. If your fired brass cycles freely, neck sizing will be OK. Watch neck tension after second or third firing, may need annealing and check case length. I load 300WSM for a hunt pard who wanted neck only, on second loading at present still with smooth cycling using Redding neck die. Many claim no difference in the two sizing methods. Maybe just a personal preference. Good luck

ok thanks mine will cycle fine i have once fired and 6 times which has about had it but even they cycle fine fl sizing those so far though
