I don't know what's wrong with people. I found out a couple of days ago that my ex girlfriend was shot and killed by her new boyfriend a few days ago. I keep thinking how senseless that she lost her life over some stupid argument. My heart breaks for the two kids that I helped raise for 3 years. Even though there was nothing left between us her death just has me feeling horrible.
I don't bring any of this up to take away from what you are going through Overkill but to say that I can't even imagine how difficult this must be on you and your family. Just want to let you know we are here and praying for you.

Just a bump reminder that we can those children.
They gave their grandmother custody for a month before the real battle begins. We are supporting her, and we are here to make sure these children are well loved, and wanted ! We believe the grandparents are the best place, but by no means will these kids go into a foster system. All of us working together as a whole, has got to show them we won't give up. It takes a village, right?

Keep us informed as to what is going on, feel free to PM me if your family needs anything.
No changes as of right now. October 8th they are giving the bastard a bond hearing. Still not changing it to 1st degree murder, and still not charging for the fetus which was 4.5 months.

I've emailed the Governor multiple times, with no response. I can't help but think it's because he is black (the killer), they are scared to go after him too hard this close to an election. Politics and politicians sicken me.

Get ahold of your congressman, and advise him of the situation.
Ask him to intercede on your behalf.

Get a hold of the news media as well as social media and simply state the facts.
People will listen

Do whatever by any means to keep this story alive, but above all don't let it go to bed!
Keep in constant contact with any journalists or writers who are sympathetic to your cause.
Don't forget your state's Senator and other officials. If you can manage to obtain their support so much the better for you! ( ask your legal counsel for advice on these matters )

(Remember the media can make or break this case, so be cautious with your dealings with them )
The more people that are aware of the facts the easier it will be to get a petition to the governor.
If enough signatures are gathered then he must listen and respond in kind.
(after all, this is an election year)
Hope this will give you some food for thought!

Thanks for the replies fellas.

By the way, I'm not racist, and I hope my post didn't sound that way. I only meant with all the BLM stuff going on, and this Governor being a heavy liberal Democrat, that he is scared to touch it. Especially with an election so close.

I will take the advice, and start contacting senators and congressman!

Thanks again guys! God bless all of you!

Keep us in your prayers. Tomorrow is the bond hearing. I'm not sure how I'm going to handle it if he gets to go home to his family until the trial. Due process my ***. Where is Cansas' due process.....

Thanks to all of you that donated money. My wife has long been an extreme coupon nut lol She has put her shopping skills to work for the kids clothes, and as of right now, she has saved $300 vs if she had just bought normally. So $500 has done the work of $800, and she isn't done.

Packages started rolling in and she is putting outfits together
