Looks really good, congrats! I bet you broke the bank on this one. (Wink)
I traded an old rem 700 bdl I had in my safe for a 300 wby magnum that already had the B&C stock but groups were somewhere around 8" @ 100yd.
I just had the barrel swapped by my smith. It wasn't that awful money wise.

I still need to play a little with the trigger because it has a lot of travel, even though it´s not that heavy. I considered a timney, but the bolt is stripped so removing this one is gonna be a little difficult. Maybe it'll be easier to adjust the factory one.

I just loaded some ammo to try it tomorrow.
I loaded some 162 gr ELD-X's over 69-72 gr of H-1000 @3.495" COAL.
Loaded some 180gr ELD-M's over 67-72gr of H-1000 @3.506" COAL.
Also had left some rounds that worked great on my past rifles to try on this one. 180 Berger Hybrid over 68.5gr of H-1000 @2.735" BTOL
We'll see how this loads work out.

It's a 7mm rem mag.
I went to the range today an tried it.
162gr eld-x didn't worked as expected. 180 eld-m achieved 1 decent group and one awful group. Around .75 MOA and 2 MOA.
180 Berger hybrids were the best out of the bunch by much. But they were all very slow.
2780 for the bergers
2900 for the 162's
2850 for the 180 eld-m
The Berger group is a 4 shot group and 1 shot that's not mine, the rest are 3 shot groups.

71gr of H1000 was only 2850fps with the 180gr Eld-M? How did the cases and primers look? That seems quite slow to me.

Yep. cases looked fine. I'm gonna try little more powder. I´ll start my new tests around 73 grains. Lets see how it goes.
