My budget .257 WBTY build ...

A friend of mine has a .257 and 7mm wby. He's tried lots of things and comes back to IMR 7828 over and over again, the original magnum powder IMO. But I didn't know 145s were even a thing for 25 cal, you might need to go uuuuuultra slow. Rl33? US869?
Yes, Sir, it is now >>>https://blackholebullets.com/see-products

I have RL33, 24N41, H50BMG, and US869 to try.

BTW, I have @Bghunter338 to thank for energizing my interest > https://www.longrangehunting.com/threads/blackhole-bullets-25cal.304053/

Well hurry up! lol Glad to hear about the 145s, I didn't know that was a thing either.

I have to admit, I was very intrigued to see what you could do with the 117s. Then again, I've always been a light(er) Mono guy pushed very fast  . That combo has always made things very dead, very quickly in my experience.

I have 110-115s, too, but the bullet maker propels the 145s from 25-06 AI, 1:8" PacNor at 3018 FPS. It is no slouch if you run the numbers with G7 of .371.

Tried quite a few powders in my 257 with 120 gr bullets. Rl-33 got me the highest velocity ( 3385 ft/sec--24" barrel) with good accuracy.
