Hey guys,
Midway has a limited amount of blem bullets for sale. You may just be able to get a few pills for a good bit cheaper than other places 'till they sell out.

Have you shot many blemished bullets? Do they tend to vary quite a bit?

I used to shoot blems all the time in my IHMSA silhouette guns and the blemish was always cosmetic. The jackets would have a spot of discoloration or on some of the HP bullets, there would be tumbling media in the HP. From an accuracy standpoint they shot just as accurately as the non-blems.

I got lucky and picked up 1k of the 178 A-max blems.

My understanding is the Hornady Blems are indeed blems, Nosler blems are cosmetic blems.

Midway has the Hornady

I just ordered 300 of the Nosler blem 7mm 140's bt's from shooters pro shop last night.... I've ordered plenty of the blems from midway and mid south in the past... for the most part they are just the ugly ones. I've seen a few bent tipped ones that had to be culled from some bonded tipped 130 grain 270's though.

They are usually the bulets made while setting up a machine or the hand-picked ugly ducklings. I've gotten over 2,000 hornady blems in the last few years between Midway and Mid-south and the only ones I've had ANY issue with have been tipped ones with a few bent tips mixed in. Even then they'd be good soda can hunting pills.
Yep too that for the most part Midway has Hornady, but I've seen other stuff that Hornady doesn't make sold from them too. We got some beautiful 7mm 150 grain spitzer flat base from them a few years ago; They had a true spitzer profile which Hornady doesn't do. Midway also has the 25 cal 110 grain bonded tipped for sale at present. Nosler is the only one that I know makes that one.

I ordered 500 .224 50gr last Friday and received them today. they are the hornady z-max... I mic'ed approx. 50 rnds and all were consistant in diameter I cant notice any cosmetic blemishes this weekend I am gonna weigh approx. 100 rnds and see how that turns out but so far they look good to go

I have been lucky enough to tour the nosler plant several times and they have a big microscope conneted to a tv that they check bullets under for blems in the copper. Mostly visual stuff but ocasionally they have bent tips. I also have family in Nebraska that goes to hornady for me and gets blems. I have shot every thing from paper to elk with blems and they work well. Nosler also sells factory overruns from time to time. I just bought 1000 6.5 123gr custom comps for 110 $.

I just received 1000 224 (22 caliber Hornady FMJBT's) from Natchez, not blems not pull downs, NIB at $12.55 per hundred, not at all bad considering my last 1000 bullet buy they were at $10.05 per hundred and that was a year ago, at least.

Natchez also has 308 rounds in bulk (1000) round boxes, I believe Federal for I think 800 and change plus shipping for those that don't roll your own.

Normally, I don't buy pull downs or blems because I have enough good ones on hand, like now. The thousand I bought are for inventory. Just got 1000 OFMB Federal 308 cases too.

I also have pending, 5000 5.56 OFMB cases FL resized to 223, cleaned and primed plus an additional 500 308's same way.... and no, not from Natchez....:)
