Not to sidetrack your thread but have you considered the 6mm Creedmoor instead of the 243 ?

I did, but I already own a 243 it's a factory 700vls shoots great, I would like a gun a little more user friendly for carrying back in, after doing some research there wasn't enough ballistic difference between the 6cm & 243 in my opinion to warrant the price of new dies & brass
