matrix bullets

Is anyone familiar with Matrix bullets? Have you ever used the 6.5 160 grain vld? I have some ordered for my 6.5 wsm.

What are you getting for velocity? What powder are you using? I see you are from Gillette. I live outside of Moorcroft.

I'm running VV-N570, Norma Brass & Fed 210M's. I'm still testing for velocity & pressure but i'm right at 3100fps with room to go. I am from Gillette, been here for over 20yrs.

I am planning to get some of the Matrix 160 gr VLDs. Right now I am testing the Woodleigh 160gr PPSN in my 264WM and have a 3 shot average of 3095 fps using the old H570 powder. There is quite a difference in the BC of these bullets as the PPSN has a .509 BC and the VLD has .685. Either bullet is flat shooting and very stable. The PPSN is used for Moose in Europe.

I have some 142s and 160s for 6.5 Sherman that is in the works

I run the 142s in my standard 260 rem, will be trying the 160s in a few months when I build a sherman. I really like them, they seem to be a well built bullet and the price is good.
