LPR 7SAUM

Yo @Trappernewt sent you a text this AM with all you'll ever need 😁 😁
I'd like to have some info myself. I'm having a 7saum being built on a Kauger arms VPR long action, Brux 8.5 twist barrel finished at 24.5inches. I have 500 Berger 180 VLD-H. I also have 3 or more pounds of N560, n565,H4831sc and H1000. Primers I plan on using CCI200s or CCIBR2's as I have a couple thousand of them.

I'm awaiting a 7saum AR barrel with the hope of shooting 175's and up? The 2.830" will be the killer, so probably no 190's and up? I might single feed a few for fun. Only 1 using 250's up to this post, but do have some br2's, 215gm's, 250's, 9 1/2's and 200's. Not sure which bullets I'll be using?

I run cci250s in my saums. They work great. I'd be looking at running 168s or so with that short of a OAL

Nosler has 185rdf listed at 2.825"
Not saying you can't run the heavier rounds, but they'll definitely be eating up a lot of case capacity at that length. I'm betting the 160-170g stuff will outrun the heavier bullets until you get out to some longer distances. But inside 800 they'll probably be better. But you could always seat a 195 deep as needed to fit the the mag I suppose..

Using QL on 180's and up (some 175's) it shows almost 3/4" inside the case compared to most being .5. I'm hoping the ppu 175fmj will fly from this 28"? That's long for an AR barrel. Just wish It was a +3 instead of the +2 gas. The +2 gas tube length is 14.7", so that's just over half the length. This is just a plinking/varmint/predator/hog riddance gun. Having ADG virgin brass to start with, what would be a good start as to save powder? 250 rounds of 7saum ADG is what I have to work with. CCI are the only primers I've used, but do have 200, 250, gm215m, 9 1/2, wlr & br2 to work with.
