long range practice with the .308 ( past 1000 yards)

For what its worth I won't really take a 1000 yard shot at a game animal with a 308. Now cut that in half and its meat in the freezer.

Now when all I'm shooting at is that rock way out yonder, I'll take a shot into the next zipcode. How far past 1000 yards have you made hits with the .308 Winchester when you just out long range plinking.

1450 yards is as far as I have shot mine

Couldn't get much past 800 yds accurately till I switched to the 175 SMK then made it out to just a bit over 1000 and might could go further. Now I'm looking at the Berger 155's and wondering how it will do.
