That's a beautiful rifle. I wouldn't take any chance of harming it.

Thanks, I was lucky enough to grab it when it came up for sale, I think I stole it. It set me back $600 Canadian as is.

You can't use 7.62x54 powder in a 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser case! It is 7.62 powder!

Bulgarian 7.62 X 54 uses 6.5 X55 powder

I used thousands of those cupronickel bullets in my 6.5x55 in military comp rifle, yet they were FMJ Spitzers, they will not damage your barrel, it is soft…

Absolutely not! 6.5x55 Swede uses 7x57 Mauser powder, but definitely not 7.62x54R powder. You cannot use Rimmed powder in a non-rimmed cartridge.

Load up some inert rounds out of those for your man cave. They would be a nice compliment to the rifle.

Again, you cannot shoot Rimmed powder in a non-rimmed case. Not even in a non-rimmed 7.62 cartridge like the 7.62x51 NATO or even worse, a .308Win.

Lets not forget rimmed vs non-rimmer primers. You don't want to blow your rifle up!

My 7.62x51 won't accept 308Win shells, I think the powder and primers bulge the cases…not even pounding the bolt home works!

I have a load of these silver bullets , but I'm a bit leery about using them I have had them for years. I think they are Danish as they came with a load of Berdan primed Danish cases but I'm not sure.

I have a very nice 125 year old Obendorf Mauser that will shoot them but I don't want to damage the rifling, it's a brand new barrel.

Are they OK to use ?
