I didn't like how cheap the stock felt on the seekins. For 2000 you'd think you'd get a carbon barrel or carbon stock but they seem to shoot good in all the videos I watched
 
I upgraded my VX6's for Mk5's. It took me some time to get over the recital issue with the FFP but I rarely shoot on low power and I look at it as just a really thick cross hair. I also had to get past the lack of illumination and weight. I bought both used so illumination is doubly hard to find and it's at the upper end for a light weight hunting rig. But it's a rock solid scope so that comes at a cost (weight / price).

The other scope I'd really love to try is the March 2-24x42. It's a great scope from reviews and the weight is down but the cost is up there. Additionally, it's not as well distributed so the used market is very limited.
