Len's book reading list - featuring the "Bob Lee Swagger - sniper" series

My favorite of his was his first, A Time to Kill.
Every man should be free to deliver justice for his daughter in that way. One of the best parts is when Carl Lee visits Looney in the hospital and apologizes for taking his leg. Chris Cooper's delivery as Looney yelling "set him free" in the movie version is an amazing scene also.

The retrospective on the jury room from Mack Lloyd saying how Wanda won the jury over in the book is better than Jake's delivery of the "now imagine she's white" line in the script, but the dirty long-hair tea-sip commie from Austin sure does sell it in the scene.

I haven't read one of his in a while that I really liked.
Grey Mountain was painful to read. I get that Grisham is a woke enlightened spectral light-worker like Obama now, but there is absolutely no way to tell that a 7.62mm bullet came out of a 7.62x39mm cartridge by looking at a hole in a bulldozer. And even then, what kind of self-respecting West-by-God-Virginian is going to shoot Soviet cast-off garbage to disable mining equipment, even if they are a domestic eco-terrorist.

They'd shoot 338 Lapua Magnums in homage to the Finnish socialism experiment, since that bastard Reagan made the poor Red Russians go tits-up. 🤣 Or at least the anti-man-bun 6.5 Swedish, if they were trying to be hip and impress the younger terrorist crowd.

Jack Higgins is a favorite author, especially The Eagle Has Landed, Flight of Eagles and the Sean Dillon series. A big fan and always enjoyed his novels.

Just finished Targeted, the 12th and last book in the Bob Lee Swagger Series. Bobs getting too old for book 13. He better stay in the rocking chair.....🙂

So, maybe I"ll read a few of the Earl Swagger series now.

I just read that one also, but was not much of a fan on this book. Well, just my opinion anyway.
