Congratulations to Kat on her successful New Mexico Bull Elk hunt. Shot at 150 yards for her 6.5 PRC and the 124 Hammer Hunter at 3210 FPS and a finishing shot at 200 yards. First bullet was recovered opposite side beyond second shoulder and hide.

Congrats ! You folk in the US are having real good terminal success with hammer bullets.

You're happy with that expansion ? rather than a mushroom ?? or a partition fragmenting ?
The nose is designed to shed in a few pieces and the retained shank to have a nice flat square front that then straight line penetrates deep. The shed petals along with the flat frontal retained shank create a larger permanent wound channel than the traditional double caliber rounded mushroom. The rounded form of the mushroom will part the soft tissue more gently with less tearing and less bleeding.

Similar to the Partition but with large shed petals instead of the tiny mist of shedding lead particles.
