I've read some of the accuracy frustration with the new 8# case measurement tool. I solved my issues by using my Noga instrument holder from my mill. The magnetic base really locks down on the steel bed. I've used it to check cartridge/bullet runout, OAL, BTOG etc. I found it very dependable, and far more accurate than the Hornady linkage. I've also used both my Sinclair bump and cartridge OAL inserts. The machining is more precise and the finish is spot on. They fit very nicely into the tool holes in the Hornady steel base. I'll keep the Hornady product now that I have any accuracy and repeatability
