Idaho bear hunt

Just returned from my idaho bear hunt….was planning to kill 2 with my 44 magnum. It didn't work out that way. Did kill a monster black with my 338 JDJ contender and 180 accubonds at 30 ft. My second bear was a smaller chocolate at 25 yards.

Great hunt, nice bear. Ive shot a few with my 4''-44 and my son shot one with his 40.Guess not much for bears near you, I did see a big one in the high wood but rarely saw one there. In the spring they would get down on the prairie in those big ant piles.My BIL,lives here now ,but from Dirty Bird

I've always been interested in the 338 JDJ but never have took the step to get one. Nice bear! The last bear I took was in 1997 with a T/C Contender in 45-70.

there are bears in most of the mountain ranges around here….I do really well because I'm prepared, in shape, got top notch equipment and I'm relentless in my hunting…..here's a pic of my this spring Montana bear with 338 Seekins rifle….I used a rifle here because of the densi of grizzly bears!! He was a beautiful color too!

Beautiful yes.We have a lot of grizzly on our side.And I hear they have moved east.My son said some kid he knows that mules hunts up or way saw a grizzly out on prairie near Gfalls.Lot of bears in the NWest, we've shot many tankers Ive bowhunter my whole life in grizzly country many a run in
