I am thinking about a 260 Rem or 260 Ackley Improved

What do you guys think..I have a 22-250 Ackley in a Winchester Varmint rig with a HS stock..I want to play some at long range...What can i do with it??

I shoot a 260, my Dad shoots a 260 Ackley. I shoot Lapua 123's at 2930-2950fps from a 26" barrel. Dad shoots a Sierra 142 at 2830fps from a 28" barrel, thats not pushing the 142 hard but it hammers at 1000 (we shoot F-class). Only drawback to the IMP is of course fireforming brass. What is the intended use of the rifle?

I want a gun to learn to shoot 300,600 and 1000 yards with at small targets...maybe even a deer on occasion....just want to shoot against my buddies 6.5-284..for fun ( Drive nails though)

Can you get a 6.5x55 in that Winchester? I believe that they are longer than 700SAs, so you might. capt david
