How many factory BOLT rifles are sized properly (no mag box spacer) for the 223.
In other words action built around cartridge specs, not cartridge made to fit action.

Howa Mini
Rem 799 & others?
CZ 527?

I dont know these models but will correct the info as its posted.
Delete if this is a repeat thread. May have read about this hear. I had no prior knowledge of it.

I read the Ruger M77 Hawkeye Predator has a mag spacer, because of action chamberings of the longer 22-250 and 6.5 Creedmoor.

Browning X-bolt has four action lengths:
.223 sized/mini action
Short action
Long/standard action
Magnum length action

I have an X-bolt in .204 Ruger that uses the .223/ mini sized action and it's nice and compact.

Thank you for sharing, I didn't realize Browning made a mini action. The CZ 527 has been discontinued.

Cooper and Sako. They build the action for the size of the cartridge base as well as the length of the cartridge. They are both superb rifles built in excellent actions…
