How i hate shooting 100yds?

Thats pretty fortunate, 90% of the shooting i do is in a cotton field.
I got 4 trees and a creek in about a square mile of row crop. If you wanna shoot anything you better bring it with you.
You left out "Lots and Lots, and Lots... . of sand".

I've spent a good bit of time in your part of the state so I know what you mean.

sounds like some sort of distraction or breakdown of fundamentals at chip shot range . When I ran all over the country shooting archery comps, I never shot impressive scores on close courses . I tried , but just couldn't bear down like I would on long courses .My scores would be almost identical on either. Id get blown out by someone who practiced close range . Luckly , my long range course scores were good enough to make up for my close range "shortcomings" :).

Necro thread from 2014.

I'm Sure guys are still having the same problems today, though. ;)
Believe it or not, no not so much.

I still dont care to shoot 100 yd targets, but with the newer class of scopes with much closer/finer parallax adjustment. My 100 yd groups and zero are way more consistent to my long range data.

Pretty much a non issue these days.
